Triple Jump offers professional asset management services to investors, ranging from asset selection, to portfolio management and fund administration. Triple Jump holds an AIFMD license and is regulated by the Dutch Central Bank and the Authority Financial Markets. Our investor base includes institutional investors, development banks, governments, NGOs, and retail banks, all of whom seek financial returns and social/environmental impact.

Triple Jump is looking for: Portfolio Manager
36-40 hours per week, initially for one year, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

As a  Portfolio Manager at Triple Jump, your primary responsibility is managing one or more investment funds focused primarily on private credit investments within the Microfinance sector. You will play a pivotal role in portfolio strategy, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 Portfolio Strategy & Management 

  • Define and execute portfolio asset allocation strategies. 

  • Manage and forecast portfolio risk-return profiles. 

  • Develop/enhance and maintain portfolio models. 

  • Oversee liquidity management and pipeline planning. 

  • Optimize hedging strategies for individual deals. 

 

Investment Analysis & Decision Support 

  • Conduct thorough reviews of new investment proposals for presentation to the Investment Committee. 

  • Monitor portfolio KPIs regularly to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. 

  • Develop Performance Monitors 

  • Perform Attribution/Contribution Analysis 

 

Process Improvement & Project Leadership 

  • Lead specific portfolio management projects assigned to you. 

  • Contribute actively to the continuous development and improvement of investment processes. 

  • Participate in global company projects that positively impact colleagues worldwide. 

Job requirements

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Minimum of three to five years' relevant professional experience in asset management. 

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. 

  • Exposure to asset classes such as fixed income or FX is advantageous. 

  • You are CFA or CAIA certified or would like to start this course;

  • Experienced in financial modelling;

  • Team player spirit is essential, coupled with the ability to work independently and taking the initiative with solution-oriented thinking;

  • You have excellent English written- and oral communications skills, the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and supporting various forms of external communication, including conference calls, client meetings and portfolio reviews.


Skills & Competencies: 

  • Demonstrable expertise in financial markets analysis and modelling. 

  • Experience in performance reporting highly encouraged. 

  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, or similar is advantageous. 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; ability to communicate clearly and succinctly across various contexts including client meetings, conference calls, and portfolio reviews. 

Certifications: 

  • This role involves advising or informing clients on investment matters; therefore, candidates must demonstrate appropriate qualifications. At Triple Jump, we require individuals in this position to possess (or obtain) DSI certification aligned with role responsibilities. Additional training may be necessary to achieve certification.
