Triple Jump offers professional asset management services to investors, ranging from asset selection, to portfolio management and fund administration. Our investor base includes institutional investors, development banks, governments, NGOs, and retail banks, all of whom seek financial returns and social/environmental impact.

Triple Jump is looking for an: Investment Risk Manager

Based in Amsterdam, 32-40 hours

The Investment Risk Manager is responsible for Financial Risk Management (FRM) within the market risk domain, encompassing interest rate risk, currency risk, liquidity risk, leverage risk, and country risk. Operating independently from the investment team, the Investment Risk Manager plays a critical role in identifying, monitoring, and mitigating financial risks associated with the investment funds and mandates managed by Triple Jump. This role emphasizes a data-driven approach to risk management, leveraging advanced analytics and quantitative methods.

Responsibilities

• Risk Identification and Monitoring: Utilize data-driven techniques to identify and monitor financial risks, including interest rate risk, currency risk, liquidity risk, leverage risk, and country risk. 

• Quantitative Risk Management: Develop and implement quantitative risk management frameworks, including relevant risk indicators and metrics. 

• Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis: Conduct comprehensive stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the impact of various market conditions on investment portfolios. 

• Risk Appetite Quantification: Quantify the risk appetite of the organization and ensure alignment with investment strategies and objectives. 

• Model Validation: Validate and back-test risk models to ensure their accuracy and reliability. 

• Investment Limits: Set and monitor investment limits to ensure compliance with risk management policies. 

• Data Analytics: Leverage advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to enhance risk assessment and decision-making processes. 

• Reporting and Communication: Prepare detailed risk reports and communicate findings to senior management and stakeholders. 

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements – including SFDR - and industry standards. 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. 

• Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or PRM are highly desirable. 

• Proven experience in investment risk management, preferably within an impact investment environment. 

• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in quantitative risk management techniques. 

• Experience with data analytics tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL. 

• Excellent communication and presentation skills. 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
