Investment Analyst

32-40 hours per week, based in Bangkok, Thailand

Triple Jump is an impact-focused investment manager that manages and advises several funds in the area of financial inclusion, SME finance, affordable housing, renewable energy and agri. Triple Jump is headquartered in Amsterdam, and has a strong footprint in the emerging markets with 5 regional offices located in Georgia, Peru, Mexico, Thailand and Kenya. The team consists of over 100 professionals, including 30 different nationalities, with broad field experience and in-depth financial expertise. Triple Jump investment portfolio spans across more than 60 countries.

As an Investment Analyst you are responsible for investment support of Investment Officers, with a focus on (support in) monitoring, preparation of investment proposals and legal compliance before disbursement. This profile will have a learning component which you will be required to complete in addition to your primary role. This role will include travel to regional office(s) and you will be mainly responsible for:

• Support Investment Officers in desk study of loan appraisal (obtain financial and non-financial information from Micro Finance Institutions, market information, regulatory updates, factsheet support etc.) and you will participate in some due diligences;
• Coordinate internally within Triple Jump during transaction closure and for client maintenance & monitoring activities and liaise with investees so that all documentation and communication is in compliance;
• You will be responsible for periodically updating economic- and Micro Finance sector quantitative data, in addition to qualitative data on the country. You will work together with Investment Officers in order to have most up to date qualitative information about local Micro Finance sector and you will actively contribute to providing risk management overviews for the region;
• Potentially involvement in broader Triple Jump studies in which the regional team can be involved, such as SPM development or general fund reporting;
• You will support the Regional Manager with data requests for regional pipeline and liquidity management and participate in internal projects as and when required.
  

Learning

You can apply for this position if you are a fresher with a maximum of 0-2 years of work experience. We have a preference for people from ASEAN region. 

This role has a learning function built into it. We will provide structured and on the job training as follows:

• You will need to participate in and graduate from the Frankfurt School of Finance microfinance course (online – 6 months duration);
• The role will allow for rotational visits and interactions with TJ office colleagues in Tbilisi (Georgia) and Amsterdam (The Netherlands) to get exposure to internal teams of TJ. You will also be required to spend a couple of weeks in each location in the first and second year;
• Based on Regional Manager's assessments, additional structured training opportunities will be provided to the Analyst.
