Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant plays a key role in the Finance department ensuring that all transactions within Triple Jump are accurately reflected in the Financial Statements. You work closely together with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that financial processes are running smoothly and that accounting and tax standards are properly adhered to.

Job Description

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Dutch GAAP.  

• Managing the daily accounting administration and the month-end and year-end close processes

• Maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded. Ensure the accounting supporting staff has the right information to book transactions appropriately.

• Process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as needed.

• Manage the annual audit process. Ensure all supporting documentation is in place and liaise with the external auditors.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory reporting requirements (AFM, DNB, Tax Authorities).

• Maintain and enforce internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.

• Provide insights on financial projections, liquidity needs, and performance metrics.

• Identify areas for process improvement within accounting workflows and propose solutions.

• Leverage accounting and account payable systems to automate and streamline financial operations.

This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, excel in financial analysis, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that values accuracy and compliance.

Key Qualifications

• Education: At least Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Accounting and / or Finance.

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in accounting, ideally with a background in financial services, asset management, or investment firms.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Exact).

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Dutch GAAP and (Dutch) VAT.
